Mary Teaster, 86, of Townsend, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Teaster; parents, Henry and Rosetta Strickland; sisters, Louise Strickland and Grace Blevins; brothers, Charles, James, Cecil, Ed, Paul, and George Strickland. She is survived by children, Shirley and Charles Romines, Joe and Pat Teaster, Wayne and Linda Teaster, and Buddy and Sharon Teaster; eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, February 24, 2012, in the Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Fate Greene officiating and burial to follow at Macedonia Cemetery.
