Michael Lynn Brookshire
Michael Lynn Brookshire, age 59, of Madisonville, passed away suddenly Tuesday night, February 12, 2013, at Blount Memorial Hospital. A member of Notchey Creek Baptist Church, he was an employee of ALCOA Aluminum Co. for 34 years. A former member of the Notchey Creek Fire Department and Monroe County Rescue Squad for 25 years, he was a longtime TWRA hunter’s education instructor for 28 years. Survivors include wife, Sharon Dailey Brookshire; children and spouses, Laura and Jamie Rose, Coker Creek, Clint and Amber Brookshire, Tellico Plains, Jill and Billy Yates-Matoy, Vonore; grandchildren who he cherished and dearly loved and they cherished him also, Riley Rose, Taylor Reese Rose, Gaige Brookshire, Isaac Brookshire and Kalli Yates-Matoy; parents, Don and Imogene Brookshire; sister, Rebeckah Brookshire, all of Greenback; brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Melinda Brookshire, Maryville; aunt, Shirley Fuller, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by grandparents, Floyd and Merle Patterson, Floyd and Myrtle Brookshire; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dan and Helen Dailey. Funeral 7 p.m. Friday, Biereley-Hale Chapel, Rev. Gale Miller officiating. Interment 11 a.m. Saturday, Notchey Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Notchey Creek Baptist Church Building Fund. Family will receive friends 4-7 p.m. Friday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.
