Olga Hassler Bryant

Olga Hassler Bryant, age 94, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 11, 2012, at Fairpark Health Care Center. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, J. Harley Bryant; son Danny Bryant; father William H. “Bill” Hassler, mother Dosha Hassler, and sister Elvada Baumgardner. She is survived by a son, William “Bill” Bryant and wife Janice of Maryville; daughters Gayle French Irwin and husband John of Madisonville; Betty McCollum, and Gwen Boling and husband Bob of Cleveland, Tenn. Grandchildren include, Debbie Wilson, Kenny McCollum, Ginger French Bryant, Janet Carver, Ricky Green and Rebecca Brackett, all of Maryville; Desi French of Seymour, Rusty Boling, Allison Boling, and Chuck McCollum, all of Cleveland, Tenn. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; nephew, Gary Baumgardner of Knoxville; and special cousin, Delores Worley of Clinton, Tenn. In Olga’s younger years she was employed in the retail business managing Lee Spickard’s Dollar Store in downtown Maryville. She later managed the Alcoa Mart (A-Mart) on Calderwood Street in Alcoa. After retirement, she and her husband enjoyed going to Maggie Valley, North Carolina and spending their time at flea markets making many friends. Olga loved her family with all of her heart. She loved to laugh and have fun with everyone. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. A very special thank you to Fairpark Healthcare Center and the caring and compassionate staff there that cared for Olga. Also a special thanks to Mable Weeks and Carolyn Trentham. The funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ben Ward officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. The family and friends will meet at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery Wednesday at 1 p.m. for the interment. http://www.mccammonammonsclick.com
