Pat McCoy
Pat McCoy, age 78, of Knoxville, passed away at 12:25 a.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2012, at NHC Fort Sanders Healthcare Center, following an extended illness. Pat was of the Baptist faith and was an avid bowler. Preceded in death by her parents, Beecher and Hilda Hickam; brothers, Sonny Hickam, Jack Hickam, and Paul Hickam; sisters, Dot Human and Gleneva Summers. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Bill McCoy of Knoxville; son and daughter-in-law, Marc and Kathy Jinks of Knoxville; grandchildren, Brett Jinks and wife, Vanessa of Carnesville, Ga., and Brandon Jinks of Knoxville; great-grandchildren, Kylie, Kalyn and Kayne Jinks of Georgia and Brayden, Bryce and Jordyn Jinks of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet at 12:45 p.m. Tuesday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for a 1 p.m. graveside service officiated by Dr. Jerry Taylor. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Monday at the mortuary.
