Paul Martin Headrick

Paul Martin Headrick, age 70, of Maryville, was taken home by his Heavenly Father in the early morning hours Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at his home, with his beloved wife, Gail, at his side. He retired from ALCOA after 30-plus years and was a member of ALCOA’s 25-Year Club. He spent many happy hours after his retirement restoring old clocks and motorcycles. He was blessed with many special friends who mourn his passing and Dr. John Ingram, who was his gentle physician and loving friend. He was preceded in death by his special companion, Casper; parents, Charles I. and Mary Katherine Headrick; former wife, Shirley Headrick; brother, Charles Headrick; brother-in-law, Floyd Pendley; and special friend, Dave Ward. Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Gail Headrick; brothers, Wade Headrick and wife Barbara, and Fred Headrick and wife Virginia; sisters, Mable Pendley, Winona Wade and husband Grady; sisters-in-law, Louise Headrick, Darlene Rowlett and husband Junior, Vetta Killion; brothers-in-law, Auburn England and wife Dorothy, Denny England and wife Jane; nieces and nephews, Nancy Presley, Ron Headrick, Denise Story and husband Ray, Alan Headrick, Brian Headrick, Tim Headrick and wife Anita, Beverly Clark, Don Pendley, Raymond Wade and wife Bette, Curtis Wade and wife Celia, Cheri Duncan and husband Jim, Jess Killion and wife Brooke; several special great-nieces and great-nephews. A heartfelt thanks to his special caregivers, Dena, Ann and Anne Marie, and Blount Memorial Hospice and Stay At Home Services. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday, January 18, 2013, at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral service at 7 p.m. with Pastor Freeman Tomlin officiating. The family and friends will assemble at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 19, 2013, at Grandview Cemetery for the interment.
