Ray Junior Lytton
Ray Junior Lytton, Master Sergeant, United States Air Force retired, age 77, of Maryville, formerly of Christiansburg, Virginia, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on January 17, 2013, after a long battle with COPD. Ray was a graduate of Christiansburg High School. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served 20 years in navigational aid before retiring in 1974. Following his Air Force career, Ray worked in technologies and security before retiring completely in 1998. He and his family have resided in Maryville, Tennessee, for 26 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Arbutus Lytton, and a daughter, Andrea Lytton Dyer. He is survived by his wife of twenty-nine years, Beverly Cox Lytton; daughters Elisa Lytton, Amber Peacock, Sheri Lovegrove, Kathy Orrick, Tammy Stephens and husband Mike of Maryville, Tenn.; Teresa Williams and husband Ernest of West Virginia and Jennifer Hitt of South Carolina; sons, R. Jared Lytton and Ronald Childers of Maryville, Tenn.; Gregory Lytton, Jeffrey Lytton and wife Gloria of Maryland; two brothers, Bobby Lytton and wife Mary Jo of Texas, Kenneth Leroy Lytton and wife Lola of Virginia, and a sister, Diane Mabry of Fairlawn, Virginia; grandchildren, Savannah Stephens, Matthew and McKenzie Childers, Branden Peacock, Jasmine Beaty, Emily and Erin Lovegrove, and six other grandchildren and four great grandchildren. The graveside service will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at Grandview Cemetery.
