Rebecca Sue Wilson
Rebecca Sue Wilson, of Conyers, Ga., passed away Friday, January 18, 2013, at her home. She was born July 20, 1941, in Greeneville, Tenn., to Bea and Coy Knipp. Rebecca is survived by her husband of 52 years, James Wilson; sons, Brian (Jacqueline), Alan (Angie); brother, Stephen (Alann) Knipp; sister, Deena (Denis) Poirier; sister-in-law, Barbara Wilson; grandchildren, Alexander, Ian, Caroline and Griffin; special friends, Jan Paul and Anna Wilson. She was preceded in death by her parents; and grandson, Joshua. Rebecca’s interests included world travel. She visited 62 countries and sailed over 200 days on cruise ships. She also enjoyed gardening and watching “As the World Turns.” Rebecca’s residences were Germany, Chattanooga and Cleveland, Tenn., and Conyers since 1975. She was a member of Zion Baptist and Trinity Baptist Churches since 1983. She was active in the Deacon and Children’s ministries and hospitality committee. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Memorial Prayer Garden at Trinity Baptist Church, 301 Honey Creek Rd., Conyers GA 30094. A memorial service will be held at Trinity at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, with visitation starting at noon. Guests may sign the online register book at http://www.wheelerfuneralhome.com .
