Roscoe Martin Lundy
Roscoe Martin Lundy, born January 27, 1930, passed away peacefully January 25, 2013, after several years of illness. He was preceded in death by wife Eddie Ruth Lundy; parents Roscoe and Annie Mae Lundy; two brothers and sisters-in-law Leslie and Barbara Lundy, Callie Lundy, Carroll and Ollie Lundy; great-grandson Brandon Smith and niece Pamela Lundy. He was retired from ALCOA and was a member of St. Paul AME Church, Alcoa. June loved life and taking care of others. His grandchildren were the pride and joy of his life. He leaves to mourn his passing , wife Shelia Lundy, children Willie Walden, John (Peggy) Walden, Faye and devoted son-in-law Ernest McQueen, Willie (Mona) Lundy; grandchildren Courtney, Bryan and Steven (Meghan) Walden, Terry George, Mark and Michael and April McQueen Brown, Francine Walden; great-grandchildren Marcel, Dontae, Alyshia Walden, BreDaisha Walden who was very special to him, Bryan Brown, and Johnathan Walden; brothers William T. Lundy and family, Wilbur Lundy and family; nieces Carolyn and Debbie Lundy and families, Shelia (Dexter) Mahone and Latoya (Gerald) Buchanan; devoted cousins Charles and Elsie Houston and family, Carl and Sonja Armstrong and family, Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Garner and family, adopted daughter Rosa Paxton and family, and many other family and friends. Funeral service will be held Tuesday January 29, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Foothills Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Turney, officiating. Interment to follow at Tennessee State Veteran’s Cemetery, Lyons View Pike, Knoxville. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service.
