Rose Everett Cate
Rose Everett Cate, age 94, of Maryville, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2012, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She attended Maryville First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, was a member of VFW Women’s Auxiliary, The Civitan Women’s Auxiliary and The Democrat Club. She and her husband, Floyd “Cotton” Cate, were former owners of the Cades Cove Campground Store. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd E. “Cotton” Cate; son, Terry D. Cate; daughter-in-law, Joanne Cate; parents, John and Lettie Everett; brothers, Calvin Bolinger, Homer Everett; sisters, Beatrice Stillwell, Irene Long and Ida McGhee. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Ted and Kathy Cate of Maryville; grandchildren, Marty Cate, Deanna Cate, Will Cate and wife Kristi; great-grandson, Eden Cate; special nieces, Marie Everhart, Catherine Everhart, Alicia Pope; nephew, Russell McGhee. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronald L. Longmire officiating. The interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville.
