Sandra ‘Helen’ Morton
Sandra “Helen” Morton, age 71, of Maryville, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and dear friend, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at her home. Helen loved Jesus and her church. She was a member of Lamplight Full Gospel Church, where she was very involved in the women’s ministry. She served wherever there was a need. Helen always made sure that the church was beautiful by providing flowers and decorations for every occasion. Besides the Lord Jesus, the greatest love of her life was her husband, Hollis. They were soul mates and best friends. Helen was extremely loving, generous, and enjoyed taking care of everyone. She had a way of making everyone in the family feel special. The family would like to express their deep heartfelt appreciation for all the family members and great friends who have offered their prayers, their care, and support in very tangible ways during this difficult time. Helen will be sadly missed by everyone whose life she has touched. May God watch over you, Helen ... until we meet again. She was preceded in death by her son, David Morton; daughter, Debbie Ford; father, Levi Lalonde; mother and stepfather, Emma and Jack Lucchessi; brothers, Donald and wife Susan Lalonde, Terry Lalonde, Jackie Lucchessi. Survivors include her husband, Hollis Morton; son and daughter-in-law, Hollis and Crystal Morton; daughter, Michael McCullough; daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Kenneth Hammond of Atlanta, Ga.; grandchildren, Andrew, Timothy, Jamie, Jerica, Becky, Holly, Whitney, Matthew, Caleb and Silas; great-grandchildren, Jimi, Rebecca, Lucas, Melody, E.J. Krista and Raven; great-great-grandchild, Jimi Page; sons-in-law, Charles Lee Ford, Tony Bennett; daughter-in-law, Kathy Morton; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Eugene and Pat Lalonde of Rose City, Mich.; sister-in-law, Donna Lalonde of Sellersburg, Ind.; special nieces and nephews, Tammy, Tommy, Joe, all of Michigan, Amy, of Florida; special caregivers, Marlene Rickman, Lori Brock, Lisa Morton Hicks, Pat Anders, Pat Morton, Terry Morton, Randall Weeks. Funeral services will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lamplight Full Gospel Church with Rev. Ronald Morton and Rev. Joseph Hartman officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church to proceed to Clark’s Grove Cemetery for an 11 a.m. interment service with Rev. Donnie Morton officiating.
