Sandra Rose Kolak

Sandra Rose Kolak, age 68, of Maryville, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2012, after a battle with ALS, i.e. Lou Gehrig’s Disease. She was born in Inez, Martin County, Ky. She was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church, Maryville. Sandra was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was an avid tennis player, quilter and birdwatcher with over 600 species of birds on her “Life List.” Preceded in death by father, Cecil C. Muncy; mother, Vina Horn Muncy Glore. Survivors include loving husband, Alvin H. Kolak; son, David Howard Kolak; daughter, Kathryn Louise Kolak Baker and husband Robert Hurst Baker; three granddaughters, Abigail Louise Baker, Elyse Kathryn Baker and Natalie Claire Kolak. There will be a memorial service on Saturday, November 17, 2012, at Fairview United Methodist Church, 2508 Old Niles Ferry Road, Maryville, TN 37803. Visitation will start at noon with memorial service to follow at 1 p.m., with Rev. Dr. Jerry Russell officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fairview United Methodist Church at the address above. Checks should be made out to “Samaritan Hands,” c/o FUMC.
