Stirling Carlton ‘Skip’ Post
Stirling Carlton “Skip” Post, age 67, of Friendsville, left his earthly home surrounded by his family Monday, December 24, 2012, after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a street-rod enthusiast for 50 years and loved to ride his motorcycle. Celebrating with Skip in Heaven are his father, Fred Seinturier; mother, Willie Helen Sterling; grandparents, John and Ula Mae Sterling; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Earl and Jewell Gentry; and brother-in-law, Burnett McGuffey. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Melissa Post; son, Carlton Post; daughters, Stacey Hancock and Melissa Sawyer; granddaughter, Brittney Ann Post; grandsons, Justin Post, Mitch Evans, and Joe Reid; great-granddaughters, Kailee Evans and Adelyn Post; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Rosie Gentry; sister-in-law, Earlene McGuffey; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the funeral home. Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012, at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel with the interment to follow at Grandview Cemetery, Mr. Calvin Tipton officiating.
