Vincent Richard ‘Reed’ Cardin
Vincent Richard “Reed” Cardin, age 75, of Maryville, born December 30, 1938, passed peacefully from this world surrounded by loved ones, at his home, on Saturday, November 3, 2012, at 9:30 p.m. He was preceded in death by parents, John and Sallie Cardin; brothers, Eddie and Clyde Cardin; and daughter, Darlene Thacker. He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Barbara, who was his caretaker and by his side until his life on this earth ended and his new journey began. He is also survived by daughters, Rosemary, Jessica, Eve, and Penny; sons, Vincent and John; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brothers, Bill, Dennis, John B., Charles, and Jerry; sister, Vivian; special niece, Sally Jo Cardin-Witty; and special friends Mary Rouse, Tammy Tipton, and Elizabeth Bradbury. Per Reed’s wishes, no services or memorial will be held. Instead, he had decided to donate his remains for the benefit of scientific research.
