Wesley C. Whitehead

Wesley C. Whitehead went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center. Wesley was a loving husband, father, and friend. He was circulation manager for The Maryville-Alcoa Daily Times and The Knoxville News Sentinel for almost 40 years before he retired. Wesley was an avid hunter and fisherman. Preceded in death by parents, Carlton and Lela Whitehead; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Hazel Chasteen; special friends, Johnny Chasteen and Linda Roddy. Survivors include wife of 45 years, Glenda Whitehead; and their two daughters, Angela Whitehead and Tammy Whitehead; special friends, Shirley and Bill Farr, Larry and Connie Chasteen, Ruby and Junior Burns, Jimmy and Pam Chasteen, and Allen Roddy. Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and interment at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2013, at Grandview Cemetery with Rev. Eddie Chasteen officiating.
