Friant-Gregory

Angel Delaine Gregory, of Maryville, daughter of Melody Gregory and Larry Gregory, both of Maryville, was united in marriage with Michael Ambrose Friant, of Friendsville, son of Jim and Jean Friant, of Friendsville, at 11:30 a.m. June 30 at Broadway United Methodist Church. Quentin Caldwell officiated.

Kara Strickland, of Pleasanton, Calif., was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Rachel Massey, of Maryville, Kelsey France, of Knoxville, and Marcy Owen, of Maryville.

Jordyn Lynn and Larissa Caldwell were flower girls. Cade and Cove Owen were ring bearers.

Payton Friant, of Friendsville, was best man. Groomsmen were Shane Rogers, of Friendsville, Steven Cardwell, of Friendsville, and Chance Owen, of Maryville.

A reception was held at the Capitol Theatre.

The bride is a student at Maryville College, majoring in child development and learning. A December graduation is planned. She is a volunteer firefighter with the Friendsville Volunteer Fire Department.

The bridegroom is employed as a shipping assistant at Off Road Equipment Parts Inc. and is a volunteer firefighter with Friendsville Volunteer Fire Department. He is also a basketball coach (volunteer) for Friendsville Optimist, and has been for many years. Both the bride and bridegroom hope to become full-time firefighters.
