Sullivan-Upton

Mia Chantelle Upton, of Louisville, daughter of Susan and Darwin Upton, of Louisville, was united in marriage with Joseph Aaron Sullivan, of Townsend, son of Jean and Jerry Sulivan, of Townsend, Oct. 20 at Sampson’s Hollow. Kristie Banes officiated.

Kathryn Varney, of Columbus, Ohio, and Emily Snyder, of Chicago, were maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Emily Harris, of Maryville, Kristen Varney, of Columbus, Ohio, and Andrea Watts, of Nicholasville, Ky.

Emma Lyons was flower girl. Brady Sullivan was ring bearer.

John Sullivan, of Eau Claire, Wis., was best man. Groomsmen were Jeffrey Sullivan, of Townsend, Jason Sullivan, of Lenoir City, Shae Kinser, of Townsend, and Matt Plummer, of Knoxville.

A reception was held at Sampson’s Hollow.

The couple are living in Townsend.

The bride received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Kentucky. She is pursuing a Master of Science under graduate assistantship at Tennessee State University.

The bridegroom received an associate’s degree from Pellissippi State Community College and bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee.
