Beer in street; how things change
So I hear of a street party in downtown Maryville featuring beer. Wow. When my dad was a boozer, he had to do it indoors, in fact, expected to. At home, or in a bar.
His boozing wrecked his marriage, alienated his children, and destroyed his stomach to death — but he wouldn’t do it in public.
How ironic. That my dad, the alcoholic, would roll over in his grave because today people drink in the streets. With other people’s kids. How times change. Sorry, Dad.
