Blount County Animal Center is spectacular

Thank you, Blount County! We have the honor to live in the most beautiful place in the world and with the most generous citizens. When there is a call to care for the less fortunate, the citizens of Blount County race in to help. This is the case at Blount County Animal Center. We have a spectacular center that shelters homeless and unwanted pets ... our Blount County Animal Center has a new Adoption Center, Education Room and Spay and Neuter Surgery facility. The lion’s share of this facility was built through donations from Blount County citizens. That is a direct reflection of our community’s values and your remarkably generous spirit ... Thank you!
For almost two years, the center’s homeless animals have been lovingly cared for by four county staff and over 200 volunteers. Giving these adoptable homeless pets everything they need ... including finding them forever homes.
The Blount County Animal Center couldn’t achieve their remarkable “happy tales” without our SMACF volunteers! You are awesome!
A recent anonymous $140,000 donation enabled SMACF to continue our life-saving work for the homeless pets at BCAC. A portion of this donation will help SMACF fund necessary supplies in the BCAC spay/neuter clinic. And a new, customized van has been added to our transport fleet. We can double the adoptable pets we place in the SMACF “Care-A-Van” Pet Transport Program! (The Center currently partners with several Northeast and Midwest rescues.) SMACF truly appreciates this loving, generous gift.
