Can we make 2013 a better year than ’12?

Dear Editor;

As we approach the end of 2012, there are those that made things happen, others watched things happen, but most don’t know what happened.

Of course, we can read about all of the above in The Daily Times.

Can we make things better in 2013?

God created the family before the church, and “no” it was not an apple in the Garden of Eden, just forbidden fruit. The desolation of the family, in my humble opinion, has destroyed the very foundation of American life.

When some children speak of their forefathers, they mean they have had four fathers, literally.

In the not too distant past, we would say, “My kids and your kids are beating the heck out of our kids.”

More than 50 percent of marriages end in divorce, while many don’t bother to get married at all. You lose all those benefits if you get married and give your babies legality.

Do these children from, as we once called them, “broken homes,” fill our jails and prisons? Many times they pick up a gun and go to a school.

“Forbidden fruit” to those of us that believe the scriptures is breaking God’s law and we know destruction of all kinds is sure to follow.

Yours Truly,

Sylvia Fagg
