Dentists accused of selfish motive
I’m surprised that a local dentist would be used as reference to the use of fluosilicic acid on the human body. I don’t think that the dental industry is ready to recommend stopping fluoridation because they make so much money on tooth whitening required by fluorosis, overexposure to fluoride. Fluorosis is a mottling of the teeth and damage to the bones.
Remember when dentists used amalgams in their practice to repair cavities? How long did it take for the government to finally admit that filling teeth with mercury was a bad idea and to instruct the dental industry to stop using this substance?
Remember when asbestos, lead paint, lead solder, and tobacco were considered safe? It took years, and many lawsuits, for the public to recognize the dangers of these products.
Remember when your abatement districts used DDT in a fogging procedure to kill mosquitoes and larva in standinwater? That, too, was found to be hazardous to not only people and animals, but also the soil. When you water your lawn, wash your car, or run the sprinkler for the kids, fluosilicic acid is going into your groundwater. That means you’re contaminating the soil with arsenic, mercury, lead, cadmium, etc.
Often it is hard to believe that common practices will later be found to be harmful to the health of individuals. Fluoridation will be one of those things that will one day be outlawed when people wake up to the fact that hydrofluosilicic acid is a toxic, hazardous waste product. Fluosilicic acid is not a scientific or generic name for fluoride.
They are two separate products. Fluoride is natural; fluosilicic acid is an unapproved drug.
Worried about pollutants? If a person poured fluosilicic acid into a water supply, he’d be arrested as a terrorist.
Let the lawsuits begin!
