Reader wants both senators to call
Dear Editor:
Tennesseans should feel good knowing that the “Good ole boy” network is alive and well in Washington. Here are two examples:
• Both of our Republican-in-name-only (RINO) senators have voted to send fighter jets and Abrams tanks to Egypt. We cannot pay our debt and now we are giving billions of dollars worth of sophisticated military armament to an unstable government which is pro-Muslim Brotherhood and anti-Israel.
• Our RINOs also voted to confirm John Kerry as secretary of state. Kerry is a traitor to this country, based upon documented meetings with the Viet Cong in France during the Vietnam War.
I heard years ago that when a constituent contacts a member of Congress, that member feels that approximately 1,000 voters are thinking the same way. I’ve come to the conclusion that our senators couldn’t care less about how we feel. Out of all the emails I send, Alexander replies to about 5 percent and Corker replies to about 10 percent.
Phone calls to their Knoxville offices are met with “OK, I’ll tell the senator what you said.” Only Alexander’s office asks my name. Never have I received a reply to any phone calls.
I’m beginning to think that term limits are the way to go in Tennessee. These Rinos become brain dead after four years in Washington and will vote for anything the “Obamaites” want. I think Tennesseans deserve better. Maybe there’s another Ted Cruz or Rand Paul out there.
