Jamie Blythe and Katie Shiba were elected as new directors of the Women's Equity Foundation, a supporting agency of the Maryville branch of the American Association of University Women, by AAUW members at its Aug. 28 board meeting.

This brings the total number of WEF directors to eight.

Foundation directors serve two-year terms and are not termlimtied.

The Women's Equity Foundation is a 501 (c)3 established in 2005. Its purpose is to provide positive, energizing programs promoting opportunities for all women and girls through community outreach education and activities.

The foundation's goal is systemic and cultural change.
