To include every musician in Blount County with a Myspace page would be a near-insurmountable task.
Some bands have built Myspace pages to heighten their exposure in a scene that’s already recognized and tapped into their talent. The Dixie Werewolves ... Jeff Barbra and Sarah Pirkle ... Eden’s Way ... Sisters of the Silver Sage ... Bloody Knuckle ... all of those musicians, and more, have been featured in the pages of The Daily Times Weekend edition and/or other local media at various times in the past. They play often, and we hope to continue to chronicle their endeavors in the future.
Other bands, on the other hand, exist solely in the realm of the world’s biggest social-networking site. Those are the musicians we want to tell you about today. Just because they may not play local venues or become household names doesn’t mean they’re any less dedicated, any less talented or any less passionate about the music they make.
Here’s a roundup of musicians and bands in Blount County that you’ll find on Myspace. It’s by no means a complete list, and if we’ve left someone off, we apologize. Send us your information — we’ll be glad to put it out there. Some of the information may not seem complete — not all bands list their members on their Myspace pages, or the ones who do list them by nicknames or first names only.
