Foothills Festival sold out; general admission tickets snapped up in four weeks
From Staff Reports
The Foothills Fall Festival is sold out again.

Organizers for the city of Maryville, which presents the annual event, said Monday that they had anticipated a quick sellout this year after last year's event sold out in six weeks.

In four weeks, general admission tickets for this year's festival on Oct. 10, 11 and 12 sold out at the preseason rate of $35.

A few reserved seats are still available, including some Gold-level seats for Friday night only at $65 and about 100 Bronze-level seats for the weekend at $85. These tickets may be purchased only through Tickets Unlimited at www.knoxvilletickets.com or by calling (865) 656-4444.

The only way to get general admission tickets now is to volunteer at the festival.

"Folks who are still interested in gaining access to the shows can volunteer for admission on the day they work. In addition, they will be able to purchase one discounted ticket for each shift they work," said Jane Goff, events coordinator for the city of Maryville.

Volunteer applications are currently being accepted.

The festival is known for providing a great concert series for an exceptional price. This year is no different with acts like Foreigner, Josh Turner, Kenny Rogers, Billy Ray Cyrus, Jason Aldean, Billy Currington, Jason Michael Carroll, Ashton Shepherd and The Road Hammers.

"Many return visitors purchased their tickets early this year to avoid being left without them. It is as important as ever that our families find value for their entertainment dollars," said Maryville City Manager Greg McClain.

"The festival sponsors, city of Maryville administration and city officials work hard to continue to offer such a great value and we are glad to see this response from the community." If you did not get your ticket for the concerts, you till can be entertained for three straight days in the Children's Adventure Land, an exciting venue for the entire family, as well as the Downtown Arts and Crafts show.

Live music, shows, activities and a wide variety of foods will be packed into downtown Maryville. Even if you don't attend the concerts, organizers say they are confident the festival will appeal to the entire family.

The main stage concerts will be held at the Theater in the Park adjacent to the Blount County Courthouse. Arts and crafts will be on display and for sale on Broadway Avenue. Children's activities will be held in the award-winning Greenbelt Park, and food will be sold throughout the festival area in downtown Maryville.

Admission to the Arts and Crafts Showcase and Children's Adventure Land is free. Concerts at Theater in the Park require a ticket.

The hours of operation for this year's Arts and Crafts Showcase and Children's Adventure Land are noon to 6 p.m. on Friday and Sunday and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday on the second weekend in October.

The festival is sponsored by Ruby Tuesday, GreenBank, First Tennessee, DENSO, Massey Electric, Clayton Homes, The U.S. Army, the city of Maryville and many supporting companies.
