Lail receives Boral USA scholarship

A recent William Blount High School graduate has been awarded a Boral USA scholarship which is valued at $4,000 per year, renewable for four years, for a course of study leading to a baccalaureate degree.A group of judges selected Wallace Cole Lail, class of 2009, from a highly competitive group of applicants after an extensive review and evaluation process.

Lail has been accepted into Middle Tennessee State University where he plans to pursue an aerospace degree with an emphasis on obtaining his pilot's license.

Cole is the son of Alicia and Barry Lail and the brother of Haley Lail, who is a student at Austin Peay University. His mother is the principal of Union Grove Middle School. Cole is the grandson of Alice and Bill Wallace and Nellie Lail.

The award was announced by Boral President and CEO Emery Severin. Cole's father, Barry, is an employee of Boral Bricks located in Knoxville.
