Harvest Field schedules youth camp
"Harvest Field Youth Camp" has been scheduled for July 1-3 at Harvest Field Baptist Church, 806 Blair Loop Road, Walland.
The camp offers singing, testimonies, teaching and preaching, with food at 6 p.m.; prayer, 6:45 p.m.; and worship at 7 p.m.
The teaching and preaching schedule is as follows: Danny and Kathy Williamson, July 1; Chad Morrison, July 2; and Noah Russell, July 3.Celebrate Race Unity Day today at Pellissippi
Everyone is invited to the fifth annual Race Unity Day to be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at Pellissippi State Technical Community College, 1010 Middlesettlements Road, Alcoa. Participants will be able to learn about different cultures through artwork displays from local artists, church and organization displays, children's activities, international presentations and more. Southern Echo, a Native American Drum Group, will perform.

The 10th annual Half-Moon Music Festival will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. July 12 on Watts Bar Lake in Ten Mile.

The Blount County Democratic Women's Club will hold its annual summer picnic in the park from 6 to 9 p.m. July 7 at Pearson Springs Park, 1467 Montvale Station Road.
The event will include free hot dogs and all the trimmings along with a covered dish dinner provided by club members. The public is invited.
Speaker will be Bill Landry of "The Heartland Series."
A silent auction will be held to benefit the club.Helping Hands set at Heritage
Rio Revolution Church will be holding its second annual Helping Hands Festival from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at Heritage High School.
More than 400 Blount County children have been invited to attend the festival and will receive several gifts.
There will be food, carnival games, puppet shows and demonstrations by local fire departments, Maryville Police Department and Lifestar.
