— Lynette Reba Angell, 48, Lodge Street, Alcoa, was arrested by Blount County Sheriff's deputies on June 25 on charges of violation of bond conditions and violation of probation granted after a misdemeanor conviction. She was released on $1,000 in bonds pending 9 a.m. July 2 hearings in Blount County General Sessions Court.

— Jonathan Kent Brestel, 39, Knoxville, was arrested by Alcoa police on June 25 on a charge of theft of property. He allegedly took a utility trailer valued at $800 from the yard of an Alcoa residence, was spotted by a witness, and then taken into custody on Hunt Road. He was released on a $2,500 bond pending a 9 a.m. July 2 hearing in Blount County General Sessions Court.

— Bradford Lee Huffaker, 37, Lawrence Ave., Maryville, was cited by Maryville officers at 11:21 a.m. June 24 with theft by shoplifting under $500. An assistant manager at Food City, 1610 W. Broadway Ave., Maryville, reportedly observed Huffaker conceal two packs of Keebler cookies and two packs of cheese, valued at $15.48, under his clothing and leave the store without paying for the food. He confronted the man and detained him until police arrived. Huffaker is to appear June 30 in Blount County General Sessions Court to answer the charge.

— Nicole Lynn Dortch, 26, Dover, was arrested by Blount County Sheriff's deputies on June 26 on charges of possession of a Schedule IV substance and driving on a suspended driver's license. She was being held in lieu of $2,000 in bonds pending 1:30 p.m. June 29 hearings in Blount County General Sessions Court.

— Terry Bryan Hardin, 34, Old Niles Ferry Road, Maryville, was arrested by Blount County Sheriff's deputies on June 25 on a charge of vandalism less than $500. He was being held in lieu of a $1,000 bond pending a 1:30 p.m. July 1 in Blount County General Sessions Court.

Alcoa

— Jonathan Michael Strayn, Clark Street, Maryville, reported at 7:43 p.m. June 25 that his license plate was taken off his vehicle. His vehicle was broken down on Alcoa Highway on June 20 and when he retrieved it on June 25, the plate had been removed.

Blount County

— An operations manager for Fort Loudoun Electric Coop and a site foreman for Service Electric Co. of Chattanooga reported at 7:31 a.m. June 25 that a company truck at a Dunlap Hollow Road, Friendsville, job site was burglarized. Apparently a key was used to open a storage compartment on the truck and channel locks, slide cutters and bell wrench, valued at $95, were stolen. The compartment was then relocked.

— Daniel W. Carroll Sr., River Trace Lane, Knoxville, reported at 8:46 a.m. June 25 that an Evinrude outboard motor and trolling battery, valued at $1,575, had been stolen from a boat parked in his driveway.

— Rettie L. Moore, Miser Station Road, Louisville, reported at 11:46 a.m. June 25 that an outbuilding at her residence was burglarized. The lock was damaged when the door was pried open and Craftsman chain saw, screwdriver set and electric drill, Dewalt drill, battery box, magnesium battery and zig saw were stolen. Estimated value of stolen items was $1,270.

— Nathan R. Collins, Wilkinson Pike, Maryville, and Brandy M. Collins, Bessie Harvey Avenue, Alcoa, reported at 1:58 p.m. June 15 that a truck parked at Coulter's Bridge on Old Walland Highway, Maryville, was burglarized. Damage to truck and value of stolen vouchers were estimated at $151.

— Ira S. Edidin, Gravely Hills Road, Louisville, reported at 3:55 p.m. June 25 that his residence was burglarized and a Mossberg shotgun, valued at $500, was stolen.

— Carson J. Forester, North Union Grove Road, Friendsville, reported at 9:13 p.m. June 25 that sometime between Jan. 15 and May 30 someone stole checks that had belonged to his late grandmother, who lived on Miser Station Road, Louisville.

— Gerald M. Anderson, Cecelia Ave., Maryville, reported at 12:09 a.m. June 26 that he had been on the front porch with his Gateway laptop computer and went inside the house, leaving the computer on the porch. When he came back the $800 laptop was gone.Vandalism
Blount County

— Deputy Clyde Ingle reported that at 2:07 a.m. June 25 he was performing a property check at Four Corners Market and Deli, 3703 Old Knoxville Highway, Rockford, and found a coin-operated air pump had been pulled out of the ground, causing $1,100 damage.

— Deputies answered a burglar alarm call to the Timothy D. Butler, residence on Cabin Ridge Road, Louisville, at 1:47 p.m. June 25. They found the basement door pried open. Butler arrived and found nothing missing. Damage was estimated at $500.Recovered Property
Maryville

— A missing library cart, valued at $2,000, was recovered at 3 p.m. June 25 at an Island Drive, Maryville, address. It belongs to Blount County Public Library.Domestic violence
Alcoa

— Alcoa police responded at 6:08 p.m. June 24 on a report of domestic assault. An 18-year-old Louisville resident said she argued with her live-in boyfriend, age 24. He allegedly hit her in the face with his open hand several times. Police noted she had red cheeks and a cut below one nostril. She was allegedly assaulted while holding an 8-month-old baby. She said she tried to leave, but the man took her wallet and would not allow her to leave. Neighbors reported seeing her with the injuries after the alleged assault. The boyfriend fled the scene and was picked up two hours later at an Alcoa business. He said they had argued, but denied assaulting her. He was determined the primary aggressor and charged with domestic violence with assault.

Blount County

— A 47-year-old Madisonville woman reported at 6:51 p.m. June 25 that she took her grandchildren to visit her 34-year-old son-in-law at his residence in Maryville and when she refused to leave the children with their father, he became angry and cut the tire on her father's van. He was charged with vandalism.

— 71-year-old Maryville man reported at 9:11 p.m. June 25 that a 24-year-old man who lives at the same address wanted $100 from the older man and became angry when he refused. The younger man allegedly broke a glass whiskey bottle over his own head and threatened to cut the older man. According to the police report, a 53-year-old Tallassee man and a 47-year-old Maryville man restrained him until police arrived. The younger man was hostile, disoriented and placed in the back of a cruiser. After maneuvering the handcuffs to his front, he allegedly attempted to break out a cruiser window. A Taser was used to control the man, according to the report. He was arrested on a charge of aggravated domestic assault.

— A 36-year-old Rockford woman reported at 6:02 a.m. June 25 that her 37-year-old husband and his 61-year-old father, all who live at the same address, had been drinking and left the residence in her vehicle. When the husband returned, he was reportedly intoxicated and she refused to let him in the residence. He allegedly gained entry to the residence and began to verbally assault her and blamed her for some missing medication. The woman reported he damaged her father-in-law's truck and she called the man to inform him of what his son had done. The father arrived and confronted his son. According to the police report, the son pushed, yelled at and hit his father. Officers did not see any injuries. The husband denied he had done anything wrong. However, the wife had an Order of Protection for no contact and the husband was arrested for violation of that order. Legal options were explained to the wife and father. Damage to the truck was estimated at $205.

Maryville

— A 44-year-old Maryville man reported at 8:25 p.m. June 24 that he went to a Maryville woman's residence and a 27-year-old Maryville man was mowing. He said the younger man had been drinking and they began joking about who could mow the quickest. After mowing, he said the 27-year-old came inside and said he mowed it in 26 minutes. When the older man stood up, he said the younger man hit him in the face, cutting his upper lip. The 44-year-old man was taken to Blount Memorial Hospital for treatment. The 27-year-old man said he hit the older man because he got in his face. Witnesses said the older man did not get close to the younger man. Options were explained to the older man on how to obtain a warrant.Other reports

— Ronald Pavlik, Lindsay Street, Alcoa, reported at 10:18 p.m. June 24 a lost or stolen cell phone. He said his daughter was at Skatetown, no address provided, on June 23, left the business at 9 p.m., and the cell phone was missing. Estimated value is $250.Births
