Maryville man charged with child pornography

A 23-year-old Maryville man was arrested Tuesday after authorities found 134 images of child pornography on his computer.

Jeremy Roberts Warne, South Maple Street, Maryville, was being held in lieu of a $50,000 at the Blount County Jail on a charge of sexual exploitation of a minor.

Investigators with the HEAT (Hi-Tech Evidence and Technology) Unit and ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children) received information from ICAC that Warne was in possession of child pornography. On Tuesday afternoon, investigators with the HEAT Unit executed a search warrant at Warne's residence and seized his computer.After previewing his hard drive, investigators found 134 images of child pornography on his computer, authorities said.

Investigators will conduct a full forensics examination of the computer.

The investigation culminated when HEAT Unit investigators took Warne into custody at his place of employment Tuesday afternoon. Investigators with the 5th Judicial Drug Task Force also responded to assist at the scene.
