— Nathan Charles Hickok, 27, Glenn Road, Louisville, was arrested by Maryville police on June 30 on a charge of false reports. Hickok claimed that he had been robbed at gun point while standing outside of Uno's, 743 Watkins Road, Maryville. Officers determined after talking to him that the robbery did not happen, according to a Maryville Police Department report. He was released on $2,500 in bonds pending 9 a.m. July 7 hearings in Blount County General Sessions Court.
— Ronald Eugene Large, 48, Chandler Station Road, Louisville, was arrested by Blount County Sheriff's deputies on June 30 on a charge of violation of an order of protection. He was released on a $1,000 bond pending a 9 a.m. July 9 hearing in Blount County General Sessions Court.
— Robert Alan Mayes, 44, Morristown, was arrested by Blount County Sheriff's deputies on June 30 on a Hamblen County warrant. He was released to Hamblen County authorities.— n Bruce Le Thompson, 18, Evensville, was arrested by the National Park Service on July 1 on a Rhea County warrant. He was being held for Rhea County authorities.
— Michael Lynn Webb, 28, Wright Road, Alcoa, was arrested by Alcoa police on July 1 on a charge of possession of Schedule III substance. Police searched Webb during a traffic stop on Hall Road at 1:20 a.m. July 1 and found a white pill believed to hydrocodone. Webb said it was hydrocodone and that he did not have a prescription for it. The pill was placed in APD evidence. Webb was released on a $1,000 bond pending a 1:30 p.m. July 6 hearing in Blount County General Sessions Court.
— Amanda Kay Wood, 30, Knoxville, was arrested by Blount County Sheriff's deputies on June 30 on charge of forgery. She was released on a $5,000 bond pending a 1:30 p.m. July 6 hearing in Blount County General Sessions Court.Thefts Alcoa
— The store manager at Dollar Tree, 1058 Hunters Crossing Drive, Alcoa, reported a theft at 6:03 p.m. June 30. He said that a cardboard box with about $600 in cash at one of the registers was taken between 4:35 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. June 30. He said they were raising money for a family that had lost a child.

— Robyn L. Branca, Knoxville, reported at 12 p.m. June 22 that she received a notice from her bank notifying her that she was overdrawn. She discovered that several checks were written on her account that she did not authorize. According to the Blount County Sheriff's office report, the woman believes her mail had been removed from her mailbox outside her residence, and that a bill she had written a check for and placed into the mailbox was never received by the creditor.
— Shaun M. Warner, Lake Court, Louisville, reported at 4:08 p.m. June 30 that several checks he did not authorize had been forged on a bank account he had closed.Vandalism Maryville
— Nia R. McDonald, Tuckaleechee Trail, Maryville, reported at 11 a.m. June 30 that someone had smashed in the windshield and damaged the hood of her 1990 Ford Tempo while it was parked on Cate Street. Damage was estimated at $600.Fire Maryville
— An employee of Spectra Environmental Services reported at 9 p.m. June 30 that juveniles set a fire in two cardboard recycle Dumpsters at 1611 E. Broadway Avenue, Maryville. Damage was estimated at $2,000.Other reports Alcoa
— A recruiter for the Armed Forces Career Center, 1127 Hunters Crossing Drive, Alcoa, reported at 9:28 a.m. June 30 finding a .22 bullet casing by the rear tire of a government vehicle in front of the business. There did not appear to be any other casings and no vandalism was observed, according to an Alcoa police report.
Blount County
— A Maryville resident reported at 10:29 p.m. June 30 that a man approximately 30-40 years old started to repossess his vehicle on Orr Circle, Maryville, when the offender struck the victim's ankle with his trailer. According to the Blount County Sheriff's office report, the victim had a minor injury to his ankle.
Maryville
— A Maryville woman reported at 10:50 p.m. June 27 that she was at Smoky Mountain Harley-Davidson listening to a concert when a man she did not know, wearing a white shirt, ran up to a female friend, tackling her. The friend was several weeks pregnant, and in an effort to protect the friend, the woman grabbed the man around the neck to help remove him from her friend, according to a Maryville Police Department report. The suspect allegedly bit the woman on the left biceps, causing a cut and a large bruise, hit her in the right eye and temple area, causing injuries to the eye and a cut on the temple. The woman also said she had pain in her back and neck. The report stated that she also had a large bruise on her right knee, a scratch to the left side of her neck, and a large bruise on the back of her left arm on the triceps muscle about four inches above the elbow. The woman was taken to Blount Memorial Hospital for treatment and to have a blood test for any transmitted diseases, the report stated.Traffic Alcoa
— Michael P. Donald, Calderwood Avenue, Maryville, and Charles G. Garren, Mentor Road, Louisville; on Louisville Road at Alcoa Highway at 11:38 a.m. June 30. Garren went by private vehicle to Blount Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released.Animal Shelter
Maryville Animal Shelter, 426 Home Ave., Maryville, which also serves Alcoa, is open 1 to 4:30 p.m. Monday, 1 to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Photos of most of the adoptable animals can be seen at www.arfnets.org. Animals will be put to sleep on the date indicated unless someone calls for them and pays fees and board bills due.
