Patricia Sparks Thompson, founder and president of Joshua Resource Center, is one of three finalists for the American Association of University Women’s 2008 Crystal Award. Thompson founded JRC as a safe haven where women who have escaped domestic violence and physical abuse can find unconditional acceptance and learn skills to help them rebuild their lives.

Robin Devereaux, founder of Dream Street Infusion, is one of three finalists for the American Association of University Women’s 2008 Crystal Award. Devereaux was nominated by her students at Dream Street Infusion, a dance company designed to allow children with health issues such as childhood obesity, diabetes, etc., to gain confidence.
