Old Tuckaleechee Pike blocked by wreck

Two individuals were pinned in vehicles which collided at approximately 9 a.m. today on Old Tuckaleechee Pike near Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and LaVista Subdivision.

The vehicles involved were a white Kia Sportage SUV and red S-10 Chevrolet pickup.

Responding to the accident were Blount County Sheriff’s Office, Rural/Metro Ambulance Service, Blount County Rescue Squad and Blount County Fire Department.

Old Tuckaleechee Pike was closed at the accident scene until the victims and vehicles were taken from the scene.
