Dear Editor:
Drastic times call for drastic measures. I believe that time has arrived for Blount County. I feel it is urgent at this point and based on the continuing news articles concerning our “kids” on the County Commission, that we need to call in outside help. Therefore, I propose we immediately contact “Supernanny.”
Many times I have seen her come into situations similar to the one our “family” is now experiencing and she has had great success stories. I have seen other “kids” scratch, claw, throw tamper tantrums, spit, fight, call one another names but once she takes charge a total change takes place. She teaches them very quickly how to respect one another, handle conflict, anger management, etc. and without raising her voice (or advising lawsuits to their “mommies”).
Then “he said, she said, my feelings are hurt, I don’t like you, I’m not playing, I’m telling” syndrome magically disappears. They actually begin to co-exist peacefully and the yelling, screaming tantrums are no more.
So Supernanny, Blount County needs your help just as quickly as you can arrive on the scene.
Oh and please don’t forget to bring a lot of “naughty seats,” you’ll be needing them!
Sincerely,
Sandy Gamble

P.S. I sure hope the “kids” don’t decide my letter is slanderous and involve me in a lawsuit. I have more important things to attend to at the moment - I need to finish removing the border in my kitchen.
