BARNER, JR., DAVID, 73, Greeneville, died Friday at Veterans Hospital in Johnson City. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Foothills Funeral Home.Anna Marie Collins
Anna Marie Collins, age 92, died Thursday, April 10, 2008, at Blount Memorial Transitional Care Center in Maryville, TN. Born in Villa Grove, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Della Collins. She resided in Kingsport from 1934 until 1996 when she moved to Maryville. Mrs. Collins was a member of First Broad Street United Methodist Church while in Kingsport. She was a member of Montvale First United Methodist Church of Maryville where she was a member of the United Methodist Women and the Belle Young Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Collins in 1996; and her son, Henry "Hank" Collins, Jr. in 2008. Survivors include her daughters, Martha Anne Collins, Maryville, and Mary Margaret Dublin, Charlotte, NC; three grandchildren; one sister, Mary Blanchard, Champaign, Illinois; one brother, Joe Collins, Freemont, Nebraska; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Calling hours are from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of First Broad Street United Methodist Church. A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at the church with Dr. J. Spurgeon McCartt officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Oak Hill Memorial Park with the Revs. Brenda and Larry Carroll officiating. Gaynelle E. McNeilly
Gaynelle E. McNeilly, age 79, of Maryville, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2008, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was of the Baptist Faith and a member of Laws Chapel Primitive Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Rebecca Davis Pickens; brother, Lewis Pickens Jr.; sister, Jean Pickens. She is survived by her husband, Thomas McNeilly; daughter, Diane Gant; son and daughter-in-law, Mackey and Pamela McNeilly; granddaughter, Lehanne Gant; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 12, 2008, at Miller Funeral Home, Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Danny McKee and Rev. Rick Rutherford officiating. Mary W. Millsaps, age 91, of Maryville, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2008. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and Order of the Eastern Star Louisville Chapter #399. Preceded in death by: husband, John M. Millsaps Sr.; three brothers and four sisters. Survivors include: sons and daughters-in-law, John Jr. & Dorothy Millsaps of Friendsville and Jim & Sandy Millsaps of Maryville; daughter, Tanya Lane of Maryville; grandchildren, Lisa Millsaps, Kim & Lynn Wilde, Bobby & Brenda Millsaps, Debbie & Dennis Carper, Jamie & Jeremy Gerard, Melody & Ben Bloker, Donna & Robert Wheeless, Jimmy & Stephanie Millsaps, and Ginger Millsaps; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Bonnie Tipton of Maryville; several nieces and nephews. Sharon Sweeney Zesut
Sharon Sweeney Zesut, 60, of Maryville has passed away after a brief battle with ALS on April 10th 2008. She was the daughter of Michael and Ione Sweeney born on November 13th, 1947, in Denver, Colorado. She lived in numerous parts of the country and settled in East Tennessee in 1996. She worked as a Century 21 Real Estate Broker and also spent time volunteering for community events. She held a passion for animals and served as a regional Siamese Rescue Coordinator caring for nearly 200 cats and finding them new homes. She is survived by her husband, Robert W. Zesut; son Robert M. Zesut; daughter, Laura Stacey; brother, Michael Sweeney; stepsons, Richard Zesut & James Zesut; and stepdaughters, Joanne Clinton & Lynda Glarner, along with 11 grandchildren. The family welcomes all to a celebration of her life at 6 p.m. on Sunday April 13, 2008, at the Maryville/Alcoa Home Builders, 1719 King Circle, Maryville, TN.
