Arrests



  • James Dale Butler, 37, Blockhouse Road, Maryville, was arrested by Blount County Sheriff's deputies on May 8 on a charge of violation of bail bond restrictions and on an attachment for contempt. Butler was being held in lieu of $500 bond pending 9 a.m. May 14 and 16 hearings in Blount County General Sessions Court.


  • Adam Chase Hamilton, 25, Calderwood Highway, Maryville, was arrested by Blount County Sheriff's deputies on May 7 on a charge of violation of an order of protection. Hamilton was free on a $500 bond pending a 9 a.m. May 15 hearing in Blount County General Sessions Court.




Arrested for contempt of court:



  • Torry Lee Durmer, 26, Brookfield Lane, Maryville, also charged with two counts of violation of probation granted after a misdemeanor conviction


  • Tony Jay Hughes, 29, Highland Road, Maryville


  • John Scott McBurnette Jr., no address, also charged with two counts of violation of probation granted after a misdemeanor conviction


  • Celeste Caye Webb, 35, Teaberry Drive, Maryville




Thefts

Alcoa



  • Christopher E. Sautter, Calera, Ala., reported at 1:15 p.m. May 5 that he left a Sony laptop computer at Courtyard by Marriott in Alcoa after checking out of the hotel on May 4. According to an Alcoa police report, when Sautter called hotel management, no one had turned in the computer, which was valued at $1,900.


  • An employee of Rick McGill Toyota, 3145 Airport Highway, Alcoa, reported at 11 a.m. May 6 that a Tennessee commercial license tag was missing. The tag was valued at $35.



  • Joshua W. Piercy, Cherry Street, Alcoa, reported at 1:30 p.m. May 7 that assorted irritation materials, valued at $1,000, were stolen from a work site at Alcoa United Methodist Church.



  • Teresa G. Burton, Russell Road, Rockford, reported at 6:02 p.m. May 7 that someone fraudulently picked up her prescription, valued at $20, from Walgreens, 225 Hall Road, Alcoa.





Blount County



  • Christine E. Garrett, South Long Hollow Road, Maryville, reported at 7:07 p.m. May 5 that a Lenoir City car dealership unlawfully repossessed her vehicle which contained money and shoes. Loss was estimated at $510.


  • Brandy L. Biggs, Knoxville, reported at 6:32 a.m. May 6 theft of a wallet from her purse at her residence. The wallet contained $210 in cash and coins, personal identification cards, personal documents and a debit card.


  • Rhonda G. Townsend, Northwood Way, Louisville, reported at 11:30 a.m. May 6 that an Easy Rooter worth $600 was stolen from her residence. The Easy Rooter, belonging to Iuluse Jarrett, Mark Lane, Maryville, was sitting beside the front door outside of Townsend's residence.


  • Larry L. Magee, Pea Ridge Road, Maryville, reported at 12:38 p.m. May 6 theft of a license tag worth $14 from his utility trailer.


  • Penny M. McCourt, Old Niles Ferry Road, Greenback, reported at 4:36 p.m. May 6 theft of an Xbox 360 worth $400 from her residence. She reported that a door at the residence appeared to have been kicked in.


  • Karen S. Trentham, Peterson Lane, Maryville, reported at 4:39 p.m. May 6 that the front door at her residence was broken open and assorted jewelry was stolen. Total loss and damage was estimated at $800.


  • Susan L. Wintrode, Howard School Road, Maryville, reported at 6:43 p.m. May 6 theft of a Nintendo Wii worth $350 from her residence.





Maryville



  • An assistant principal at Foothills Elementary School, 520 Sandy Springs Road, Maryville, reported at 8:30 a.m. May 5 theft of a camera worth $400 from the technical office on May 2.


  • Jeremy R. Shown, Island Home Road, Louisville, reported at 8:30 p.m. May 5 that his license plate was either lost or stolen from his vehicle while parked at Food City, 1610 W. Broadway Ave., Maryville.



  • Tarrell L. McNeilly, Sevierville Road, Maryville, reported at 10:15 p.m. May 5 that he left his wallet on the counter at E-Z Stop Food Mart, 2428 E. Lamar Alexander Parkway, Maryville, and his bank card had been used to purchase an unknown amount of fuel at the business.


  • Michael C. Davis, Melrose Street, Maryville, reported at 3:55 p.m. May 6 theft of a 36-inch LCD flat screen TV from his residence.


  • Kelly M. Giro, Indian Shadows Drive, Maryville, reported at 4:30 p.m. May 6 that she was contacted by her bank because they said there was unusual spending on her account. She said she noticed her card was missing and last remembers having it at Maryville High School, 825 Lawrence Ave., Maryville.


  • Gary C Stephens, Doc Norton Road, Maryville, reported at 11:37 a.m. May 7 that he let someone borrow his covered trailer worth $2,000 and it was stolen from a location on Winchester Drive, Walland, between April 3 and May 4.



  • Rhonda J. Wilson, Ellejoy Road, Walland, reported at 12:31 p.m. May 7 that someone used her husband's credit card number without authorization. Total loss to the victim Frank B. Wilson, Ellejoy Road, Walland, was estimated at $105.





Vandalism

Blount County



  • Greg Johannsen, Caton Road, Seymour, reported at 8:58 a.m. May 7 that someone bent a fence post in his yard causing $30 in damage.
