Ernest L. (Ernie) Blair

Ernest L. (Ernie) Blair, age 60, of Sweetwater, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2008. Member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents Dan and Hilda Blair, brother. J. Harold Blair.

Survivors- fiance: Kathy Rose, Sweetwater; daughters and sons-in-law: Alunda "Lundy" Blair and Matthew Herring Lovelle and Greg Bowman; sons and daughters-in-law: Randy Blair, Travis and Cheree Blair, all of Alabama; Staff Sgt. Clint Blair and wife Jennifer, California; grandchildren: Miranda, Dillon, Karlie, Rachel, Shane, Brandon, Leah, Caleb, Corey, Abrie and Kinsley; sisters and brothers-in-law: Jeanith and Chester Gentry; Lavonda and Dean Hyden; Betty Sue Blair; brother and sisters-in-law: Herman and Dorothy Blair; Wanda Blair; stepson: Dwayne Taylor; stepdaughters: Jackie Yates and Serena Rose; stepgrandchildren: Dillon and Dustin Taylor; Daniel Ferris, Megan Smith and Triniti Tucker; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral 2 p.m. Wednesday, Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Rev. Ralph Patton and Rev. Chad Schaffer officiating. Interment in church cemetery with Rev. Mike Blair officiating. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.

Ray Devine



Ray Devine, 64, of Friendsville passed away on May 5, 2008. He is preceded in death by his Wife: Penny Sue Devine; Parents: Hobert and Barkley Devine; Sister: Sue Riden; Brothers: Gene, Hubert, and Bill Devine.

He is survived by his Daughters: Selena and Amanda Devine; Son: Jason Devine; Grandchildren: Ragan and Raina Young of Maryville, Dakota Hunt of Nashville, Bryson Devine of Lenoir City, Azzabel Hamilton, Logan and Elizabeth Devine, all of Maryville; sisters: Helen Arden, Cleta Poe, and Freta Johnson; special friends: Don and Joyce Woullard of Louisville. There are many friends, nieces, and nephews. Ray had a very full life.

Family and friends will meet 5 p,m. Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at Piney Level Church Cemetery for a graveside service. Bernice Henry



Bernice Henry, age 81, of Madisonville, widow of Francis Henry, passed away 2 a.m. Monday, May 12, 2008 at Sweetwater Hospital. She was a retired teacher, having taught in the Monroe County school system for 27 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Madisonville. Preceded in death by son. Billy Joe Henry.

Survivors: son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Arlinda Henry, Louisville, Ky.; grandchildren, Pat and Kayci Henry, Sweetwater;¬  Adam and Karita Henry, Niota;¬ Rachel Henry, Kingsport;¬ Steve and Raisa Henry,¬ Tim Henry, all of Madisonville; great-grandchildren,¬ Madison Henry,¬ Brooke Henry,¬ Jerron Henry.¬ Funeral 7 p.m. Wednesday, Biereley-Hale Chapel, Rev. Adam Henry officiating. Interment 10 a.m. Thursday, Haven Hill Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.

Margaret Coleman Kincer



Margaret Coleman Kincer - born May 15, 1915, age 92 of Alcoa, passed away Monday, May 12, 2008 at Parkwest Hospital. She was a member of Maryville Church of Christ. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph Kincer; parents, Ed and Iva Lusk Coleman; brother and sister-in-law, Millard and Kathleen Coleman; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jesse Condra, Bernarr and Mary Coleman, Florence and Fred Deal, Rachel and Fate McElhany, Louis Elmore, Frank and Mary Kincer, Johnnie and Lucille Kincer, John and Inez Wilburn, Andy and Iva Brewster and Oakley and Grace Johnson.

Survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Oney and Thelma Kincer of Centre, Ala.; daughters and son-in-law, Ruth and George McDaniel of Rockwood, Iva incer of Alcoa; sisters, Iva Condra and Evelyn Elmore; brother and sisters-in-law, Thresia Coleman, E.C. and Mary Coleman; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Click Funeral Home, Lenoir City. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home by 10:30 a.m. Thursday and proceed to the Loudon County Memorial Gardens for graveside services at 11 a.m. with Mr. Dan Chambers officiating. Mrs. Frances Dee Anderson Mccarter



Mrs. Frances Dee Anderson McCarter, age 72, of McCaysville, Georgia, died Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at St. Joseph Hospital in Atlanta, Ga.

Mrs. McCarter was a native of Polk County, Tennessee, who had lived in McCaysville, Georgia for over 70 years. She was a retired seamstress and was of the Methodist faith.

Mrs. McCarter was the daughter of the late Francis Stephen Anderson and Flora Grace Hester Anderson, and was preceded in death by her husband, James Lee McCarter, and an infant sister, Julia Gwendolyn Anderson.

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, DeLee and Jeffrey Udelson, Marietta, Georgia; Dana and David Sarrell, Smyrna, Georgia; sister, Sue Anderson Tyler, Walland, Tennessee; brother, Lloyd Anderson, Marietta, Georgia; and grandchildren, Jillian Udelson, of Atlanta, Ga.; and Daniel McCarter Udelson, of Athens, Ga.

Funeral services for Mrs. McCarter were held Friday, April 18, 2008, at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, Georgia, and interment was in Corinth Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County.

Roy W. Mowery



Roy W. Mowery, age 87 of Maryville, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2008, at his home. He was a retired contractor and a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite and a Shriner. He was a WWII Army Air Corps Veteran and a Kentucky Colonel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harlan Teague and Mabel Truesdell Mowery; brother, Floyd D. Mowery and his sister, Mary Katherine Mowery. Survivors include his wife, Alice Kennedy Mowery; sons, James Wilson Mowery of Monmouth, Ore.; Roy Wilson Mowery, Jr. of Acworth, Ga.; daughters, Katherine Louise Daly of Lake Panasoffkee, Fla.; and Nancy Mowery Loving of Chesapeake, Va.; eight grandchildren.

Don H. Tinsley, age 87 of Louisville, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2008 at UT Medical Center.
