Maryville Planning Commission forwarded a recommendation to Maryville City Council to create an Institutional District for the Maryville College campus minus the seven-acre area leased by Ruby Tuesday.
Also forwarded to council were recommendations rezoning the campus from Central Community and Residential to Institutional and changing the Ruby Tuesday area in the College Woods from Neighborhood to Central Community.
The change will allow Ruby Tuesday Lodge to rent rooms to the public.
At its Monday meeting, the planners forwarded a request to allow body shops in the Business/Transportation Zone. However, the commission is not recommending this action.
