Four beautiful and unique homes in Tellico Village will be featured during the Tellico Village GFWC Women's Club's 13th Annual Home Tour from 1 to 5 p.m. Oct. 5.

New this year, the featured fifth home on the tour will be a luxury motor coach provided by Buddy Gregg Motor Homes of Knoxville. The motor coach will be parked at the Tellico Village Yacht Club. Reception and entertainment are provided at the Tellico Yacht Club during the hours of the tour. Performing again this year is "Your Favorite Violinist," Al Colombo.

The home tour is the organization's major fundraiser and all proceeds help support various local and designated international charities, including Kids First Child Advocacy Center, Domestic Abuse Violence Prevention, Shangri-La Therapeutic Academy of Riding (STAR), Loudon County Schools, and a variety of elder and children's charities. For the 2006 and 2007 Home Tours, ticket sales yielded nearly $22,000 for charitable distribution. GFWC Tellico Village Women's Club is a part of the international and Tennessee General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC), the world's largest and oldest nonpartisan, nondenominational volunteer service organization.

The homes featured on the 2008 Annual Home Tour include:

Home of Michael and Lee Bard, 248 Dudala Lane, Mialaquo Coves Neighborhood

Mahogany and leaded glass doors invite you into this beautiful stone French Country home with views of Tellico Lake from every room. The foyer is adorned with a Korean bridal chest and ancient Asian cabinet which introduce you to the extensive collections of furniture, art and other home accents that came from the couple's frequent business trips to Asia. The home's open floor plan features a large kitchen with cherry cabinets, Brazilian cherry wood floors and granite counter tops; a family room with stone fireplace and built-in book shelves; a tiled sun room with the best morning view of Tellico Lake; a formal living room featuring unique antique chair and pump organ; and the dining room with its pass-through bar and Chinese red walls. Spectacular lake views are visible from the couple's expansive first-floor master suite and lower level that features a family room, guest bedrooms with private baths and full-service kitchen.

Home of Bill and Carol Evans, 202 Tuschora, Tommotley Shores Neighborhood

The symmetrical exterior hints at the classical beauty of the interior finishes of the Evans home. Notice the creamy moldings throughout and the fluted columns and pilasters in the main living areas. The lush red and gold upholstery and window treatments seamlessly unite the 18-foot ceiling spaces that open from the center-tabled entry to a formal dining and living room. The pale yellow master suite decorated in burgundy, gold and sage features an elaborately painted, double tray ceiling. The sunroom features a steeply pitched, wooden ceiling and joins the kitchen and breakfast room. The lower level houses three themed guest rooms and full baths as well as an exercise room. Bill's replica car, motorcycle and plane collection can be seen here in the family room, a retreat that houses a projection TV and pool table.

Home of Peter and Laurie Brandow, 126 Noya Place, Mialaquo Point Neighborhood

Peter and Laurie Brandow have brought a bit of Cape Cod into Tellico Village. The home's carriage house garage doors and exterior white trim on gray paint create the feeling of a cozy cottage on the lake. The entry foyer greets the visitor with a charming iron chandelier and magnificent staircase. The home features hardwood floors throughout with lovely area rugs. Take note of the theme of birds in many of the home's accessories such as the unique peacock sculpture near the living room fireplace. The kitchen features a collection of Italian pottery; hand-made coffee stained white cabinets; golden and onyx handmade tiles; and a pair of black-leaf chandeliers above the island. French doors in the kitchen lead to the veranda where one can enjoy a stunning view of Tellico Lake and a staircase that takes you down to the lake level. A game room with fireplace and pool table, plus brightly decorated guest bedrooms adds to the home's cottage charm.

Home of Ray and Carol Scott, 234 Tecumseh Way, Tanasi Coves Neighborhood

Ray and Carol Scott captured the beautiful Tellico Lake and the Smoky Mountain views when they built their 10,000-square-foot, six bedrooms, eight-bath, U-shaped home. The dramatic architecture throughout the home depicts the Scott's dream of a home designed with curves, angles, lots of windows and high ceilings. Such features include oversized windows with picturesque views, multiple windows in the front turret that leads to a cleverly designed library and to the upper level; a porthole window in the master suite -- a favorite of the Scotts' -- and a spiral staircase with no center post. The Scott's interest in artwork is exhibited throughout. Their collection includes such pieces as paintings from such artists as James Carter, Laszio Dus and Richard Jerzy. A set of Chinese fu dogs thought to be 300 years old greet you as you enter the formal living room. Their custom-built Tennessee room which features a faux stained glass window with a design of mountains, dogwoods and irises is a place to relax, entertain, and enjoy friends and family.
