Missing person: Michael Edwin Hearon, 51, Tallassee

Michael Edwin Hearon, 51, Tallassee, went missing from his Bell Branch Road property on Aug. 23 — which was the last date he was seen. His ATV was found on Aug. 26 on the property, but Hearon was not found and few clues have materialized that would point to his whereabouts or explain his disappearance.
An extensive five-day search was conducted by authorities — which included hundreds of volunteer searchers — but it did not result in additional evidence that would explain Hearon’s disappearance.
A $15,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the location of Mike Hearon.
Anyone with information on Hearon’s disappearance and/or anyone who has heard from him is asked to contact the Blount County Sheriff’s Office at 273-5001 during business hours or via the 24-hour Crime Hotline at 273-5200.
