Grand jury indicts 13 people, including marijuana theft case

A Blount County grand jury returned one no bill, two sealed indictments and true bills against 13 people on Monday, including indictments against a man accused of robbing someone of a marijuana cigar.

Nathaniel M. Howard, 19, Knoxville, was indicted on charges of aggravated robbery and aggravated robbery. According to documents filed in Blount County Circuit Court, Howard was accused of entering the residence of a Maryville man on Sept. 5 and taking a marijuana cigar by use of violence.

A no bill was returned on Terry Jason Webb, 28, Webb Road, Townsend. Webb had been charged with aggravated burglary on Oct. 9.

Other indictments included:

Luther Wayne Kennedy, 59, Cerritos Way, Louisville, three counts of aggravated assault. Kennedy allegedly displayed or used of a knife on a man June 8 at Kenjo Market, 4228 Alcoa Highway, Alcoa.

Clarence Marley Cooper, 50, Pennsylvania Avenue, Maryville, aggravated assault and especially aggravated burglary. Cooper was accused of entering a residence July 26 on Tuckaleechee Pike and injuring a Maryville man.

Teresa L. Cable, 51, and Boyd Eugene Cable, 45, both of Craigs Chapel Road, Greenback, promotion of methamphetamine manufacture. They were accused of acquiring pseudoephedrine to make methamphetamine on Sept. 17.

Jason Malcom Blankenship, 28, Murphy Road, Maryville, DUI, DUI 4th offense and driving on a revoked driver's license on July 18.

Brian H. Franklin, 40, Madisonville, promotion of methamphetamine manufacture. Franklin was accused of acquiring pseudoephedrine on Oct. 6 for the purpose of making methamphetamine.

Jameson T. Hunter, 20, Allendale Drive, Friendsville, assault. According to a indictment, Hunter injured someone on Sept. 14.

Tabetha C. Grover, 18, Allendale Drive, Friendsville, two counts of aggravated assault. According to the indictments, Grover committed the offenses on Sept. 14 by use or display of a metal weight bar and wooden walking stick.

Christopher Plemons, 37, Daisy Circle, Maryville, vandalism. According to a indictment, Plemons vandalized a black Ford Ranger pickup truck on June 28.

Thomas Eugene Hollowell, 35, East First Street, Maryville, possession of a Schedule VI substance (marijuana) stemming from a June 7 incident.

Robert B. Watson, 29, Hotel Avenue, Maryville, two counts of burglary of a vehicle and a charge of theft stemming from a July 4 incident.

Joseph E. Clabough, also known as Eugene Lockwood Whaley, 26, Grade Road, Rockford, aggravated burglary from a March 3 incident, robbery and theft from a March 12 incident and assault and theft of over $10,000 from an April 8 incident.
