Snowfall has closed several roads in Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Officials have closed Newfound Gap Road and the portion of Little River Road running from the Townsend entrance to Elkmont. Parks spokesman Bob Miller said the park will probably end up closing Little River Road all the way to the Sugarlands Visitor Center.
In other news, all three Blount County school systems have closed today because of the worsening weather conditions. School officials have not made any decisions about tomorrow's classes.
First Tennessee will close all of its banking facilities in Knoxville, Maryville, Morristown and Dandridge at 3 p.m. today due to inclement weather.
