Man arrested following standoff

Authorities arrested a 38-year-old Walland man on Saturday after an overnight standoff in which shots were fired at Blount County Sheriff's Office deputies.
Richard Ronald Hatcher, 38, Blair Loop Road, Walland, was arrested by deputies on a charge of reckless endangerment (felony) and three outstanding warrants.
Deputies found two weapons at his residence after the standoff, which lasted more than four hours.
Hatcher was taken into custody at about 4:30 a.m. Saturday. He is being held in lieu of $7,599 in bonds at the Blount County Jail pending 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m . hearings in Blount County General Sessions Court.
