Emilee Renee Hall

Emilee Renee Hall, of Maryville, passed away Wednesday morning, June 17, 2009, in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. Emilee was our bright and shining star for eight glorious days. She taught us the true meaning of joy, love, strength, hope, courage, pain and sorrow. Emilee will never be forgotten, for she will live in our hearts forever. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, William Clark Davis; and great-grandmother, Elsie (Effler) Davis. She is survived by her parents, Kristin Renee Davis and Carl Michael Hall Jr. of Maryville; grandparents, Sam and Robin Lee of Friendsville and Carl Michael Hall Sr. of Maryville; great-grandparents, Leonard and Trula Greene of Friendsville, William T. Davis of Townsend, and Albert and Deloris Hall of Maryville, and Patsy Lee of Maryville; aunts, Samantha Megan Lee of Friendsville and Karrie French of Madisonville; uncles, Albert Lee Hall of Maryville, Cody Hall of Sevierville and Jonathan and wife Jennifer Hall of Maryville; cousin, Meagan Reana Hall of Maryville. Larry Allan Humphrey, 67, of Townsend, passed away June 19, 2009, at home. He was preceded in death by father, Richard Humphrey; mother, Leona Dunlap Humphrey. Survivors include wife of 41 years, Betty Dykes Humphrey; daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Waylon Majors; sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Tammy Humphrey, Philip and Tina Humphrey, Larry and Robin Teffeteller; grandchildren, Cole and Raven Majors, Mason and Gavin Humphrey, and Cody Humphrey. Jonnie Grace Kagley Lewis

Jonnie Grace Kagley Lewis, age 96, of Knoxville, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2009, at St. Mary's Health System. She was a member of Broadway Baptist Church in Knoxville and was preceded in death by her husband, Joe J. Lewis; parents, John W. and Lillie Wilson Kagley; and sisters, Ruth Norwood and Mable Mizell. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and Ralph E. Holland of Boone, N.C.; daughter, Kathy Lewis of Nashville; son, Donald W. Lewis of Maryville; former daughters-in-law, Laura McNair and Connie Lewis; eight grandchildren, Jonathan (Kelly) Holland, Timothy (Carrie) Holland, Erin (Matt) Brumm, Jessica (John) Wear, Chaia (Jeff) Thigpen, Leah Manning, Hanna and Jacqueline Lewis; five great-grandchildren, Brianna, Elias and Abigail Holland, Ryan Wear, and Lucas Manning; sister, Pearl Rudder of Louisville, Ky., and brother, Lloyd W. Kagley of Seymour; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lewis was born in Blount County on March 3, 1913, and grew up in the Kagley's Chapel community. She graduated from Lanier High School in 1931, worked at the Standard Knitting Mills in Knoxville, and, during World War II, was employed by ALCOA. She married and raised her family in Maryville, living in later years in Knoxville. Flowers are appreciated, or memorials may be made to the Building Fund or Children's Ministry of Broadway Baptist Church, 815 North Broadway, Knoxville, TN, 37917. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 21, 2009, at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Timothy Turley officiating. The interment will follow in Centenary Cemetery. Charles Niles

Charles Niles, age 82, of Madisonville, passed away 12:32 a.m. Friday, June 19, 2009, at Wood Presbyterian Home. He was a lifelong member of Vonore Baptist Church, where he taught Adult Men's Sunday School Class for 57 years. He also served as deacon and sang in the choir. He had a love for music and played several instruments. He was known for his sense of humor. He taught school at Vonore and Madisonville High schools and after retiring, he taught at Hiwassee College for 10 years. Preceded in death by wife, Mabel Niles; parents, John and Bertha Niles; sister, Anna Lea Steele. Survivors: sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Bobby Summitt, Madisonville, Vanda and Corbin Young, Athens; brother and sister-in-law: Jack and Ann Niles, Maryville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral 7 p.m. Saturday, Vonore Baptist Church, Rev. David Summitt and Rev. Allen Young officiating. Interment 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Vonore Baptist Cemetery. Ellis 'Squire' Ownby

Ellis "Squire" Ownby, age 70, of Sevierville, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2009. Mr. Ownby was a master craftsman and was retired from Pigeon Forge Pottery after 48 years. He was member of Walden's Creek Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Ida Huskey Ownby; brothers, Conley, Eul and Jack Ownby; sister, Ellen Ownby. Chester Lee Reagon

Chester Lee Reagon, age 87, of Maryville, passed away Monday, July 15, 2009, at his home. He was a member of Four Mile Baptist Church. He was a Veteran of the United State Army, having served during the invasion of Normandy during World War II. He received three Purple Heart, Bronze Star, and several other medals during his military service from 1942 to 1945. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Zella Mae Reagon; and sister, La Rue Ridge. Survivors include his wife, Wilma Reagon; children, Ronald and wife, Frances Reagon, David Reagon, and Gary and wife, Angie Reagon all of Maryville; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. Funeral service will be held 7 p.m. Saturday, June 20, 2009, at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Greg Long officiating.
