Arrests
n Jessica Ruth Dunbar, 26, Cave Mill Road, Maryville, was arrested and charged with theft by shoplifting under $500 June 23 by Maryville officers. The manager of CVS Pharmacy, 103 Foothills Mall Drive, Maryville, reported at 1:10 a.m. June 23 that Dunbar entered the store, picked up three packages of Pampers diapers, which were valued at $54, and exited the store. According to the police report, the manager attempted to confront her but she got in her vehicle and fled. The manager provided police with the tag number and a description of the vehicle. Dunbar was later contacted and reportedly admitted to stealing the diapers and trading them for narcotics. She was jailed under $1,000 bond pending an appearance June 30 in Blount County General Sessions Court.
n Larry Winfield Hicks, 31, Jellico, was arrested by Maryville police on June 22 on a charge of theft of property by shoplifting. He was being held in lieu of a $2,500 bond pending a 9 a.m. June 30 hearing in Blount County General Sessions Court.
n Vincent Bernard Thomas, 38, Powell, was arrested by Alcoa police on June 22 on a charge of criminal trespass and two counts of theft of property by shoplifting. He allegedly concealed several sheets and an LCD picture frame and attempted to leave Wal-Mart, 1030 Hunters Crossing Drive, Alcoa, without paying. He was released on $2,250 in bonds pending 1:30 p.m. July 1 hearings in Blount County General Sessions Court.

Thefts
Blount County
n Javan L. Schiferl, Clover Hill Road, Maryville, reported at 11:29 a.m. June 19 that his wallet was stolen from a vehicle he was going to sell. Wallet, credit and debit cards and Tennessee driver's license were stolen. The debit card had been used to make transactions in Maryville, Alcoa and Blount County.
n James A. Brewer Jr., Feldspar Lane, Maryville, reported at 5:09 p.m. June 19 that a Vizio 55-inch flat-panel TV, valued at $1,745, had been stolen.
n Rosa L. Shutran, Self Hollow Road, Maryville, reported at 8:06 p.m. June 19 that jewelry, valued at $1,000, was stolen from her residence.
n Donald L. Colett, Blair Loop Road, Walland, reported at 12:16 p.m. June 20 that someone broke into his residence and shed two weeks ago and stole a drum set, two Fender electric guitars and Gibson electric bass guitars, which were valued at $1,800.
n Jo Ann Bennett, Long Hollow Road, Maryville, reported at 1:27 p.m. June 20 that prescription medication, valued at $5, was stolen from her residence on June 19.
n Sarah J. Ward, Mason, reported at 4:58 p.m. June 20 that DVDs, Sony PlayStation 2 and games, Sony memory card and PlayStation 2 guitar for Guitar Hero, valued at $495, was stolen from a Melissa Lane, Maryville, address.
n Bobby D. Hackler, Tarbett Road, Maryville, reported at 10:12 p.m. June 20 that $5 was missing from his bag at a Doris Lane, Maryville, address.
n The owner of Smoky Cabins Vacation Rental, Asbury Drive, Maryville, reported June 21 that a bathroom window was broken to gain access to a cabin on Cameron Road, Townsend. Stolen was a Vizio 32-inch TV, valued at $500.
n Brian K. Satterfield, Hopewell Road, Maryville, reported at 1:40 p.m. June 21 that prescription medication, valued at $1,800, were stolen from his residence.
n Dave Glass, Old Knoxville Highway, Rockford, reported at 3:31 p.m. June 21 that his garage side door was pried open and Dewalt saws, flashlight, hammer drill and power drill, valued at $600, were stolen.
n Cindy L. Green, Indian Warpath Road, Maryville, reported at 11:45 p.m. June 21 that someone pried open a rear window at his residence and stole a Sanyo 32-inch LCD TV, 19-inch TV, Sony game console, two radios, CDs, records and lamp. Estimated value of stolen items and damage was $2,235.
n Michael B. Lasorsa, Wildwood Road, Maryville, reported at 9:26 a.m. June 22 that someone burglarized his outdoor building at his residence. Stolen were Homelite and Craftsman leaf blowers, generator and Campbell Hausfeld pneumatic jack and three Black and Decker saws. Value was estimated at $2,110.
n Jack Williford Jr., Ellejoy Road, Seymour, reported at 5:06 p.m, June 22 that his outbuilding at his residence was burglarized June 19. Stolen were Desa International heater, Delta drill press, welder, electric hammer and Dewalt circular saw valued at $1,580.
Maryville
n A Maryville woman reported at 7:26 a.m. June 20 that she came home from work and went upstairs to her bedroom. She heard a loud noise from someone downstairs in the residence. The woman dialed 9-1-1 and was advised to lock herself in the bedroom. According to the police report, she said prescription medication, Olevia HD TV and jewelry, with estimated value of $1,340, were missing.
n Dr. Jack Bowman, 201 E. Broadway Ave., Maryville, reported at 10:05 a.m. June 22 that two books of checks were taken from his office. According to the police report, Bowman said he was looking for the checkbooks in March and thought he had misplaced them. Then on June 19 he learned that checks totaling $21,235 had been written on his account.
n Nicholas R. Hawk, Landau Drive, Maryville, reported June 22 that his vehicle was burglarized while it was parked at Kmart, 945 McCammon Ave., Maryville. Stolen was a Toshiba laptop computer valued at $500.
n Autumn McGinley, Highland Road, Maryville, reported at 4 p.m. June 22 that she put her cell phone down on a bench in Sandy Springs Park and when she came back to get it the phone was gone. The red Blackberry phone was valued at $300.
n Teresa Myers, Louella Drive, Maryville, reported at 2:32 p.m. June 22 that while she was sleeping upstairs in a bedroom with her son, someone entered the house and took her purse from the bedroom. The purse was sitting on the floor beside the bed, according to the police report. Purse, cash, prescription medication and IDs were valued at $96. The purse was apparently the only thing stolen.
