Government office hours for July Fourth holiday weekend

Governmental offices will be closed Friday, July 3, in observation of the July 4 Independence Day holiday.
This will include:
Blount County Courthouse, Blount County Justice Center;
Alcoa Municipal Building, Service Center and Police/Fire offices;
n Rockford City Hall;
Townsend Municipal Building;
Maryville Municipal Center and Public Works buildings.
Maryville residential garbage normally picked up on Friday will be picked up on Monday, July 6.
The City of Alcoa will make no adjustments to the collection of residential solid waste and recycling for the July 4 holiday.
Residential and commercial routes will be run on schedule in Alcoa. However, brush that is scheduled for pick up on Friday, July 3, will be collected on Thursday, July 2. Brush pickup for the remainder of the week will stay on schedule. Anyone with questions may call the Alcoa Public Works Department at 380-4815 or 380-4800.
The Alcoa/Maryville/Blount County Sanitary Landfill will be closed on Saturday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. The landfill will maintain normal operating hours on Friday, July 3. Anyone with questions should call the landfill at 995-2892 or 995-2998.
