Arrests

Crystal Gail Nicole Boring, 22, New Blockhouse Road, Maryville, was arrested by Blount County Sheriff's deputies on June 26 on a charge of fraudulent use of credit card. She was being held in lieu of a $500 bond pending a 9 a.m. July 2 hearing in Blount County General Sessions Court.

Jennifer Ann Tipton, 28, Fielding Drive, Maryville, was arrested by Maryville police on June 26 on a charge of theft of property by shoplifting. She allegedly concealed $26.78 worth of press-on nails and attempted to leave Wal-Mart, 2410 U.S. 411 South, Maryville. She was released on a $750 bond pending a 9 a.m. June 30 hearing in Blount County General Sessions Court.

Vincent Bernard Thomas, 38, Powell, was arrested by Alcoa police on June 26 on a Knox County warrant. Thomas was released to Knox County authorities.

Brandon Don Seaton, 24, Madisonville, was arrested by Blount County Sheriff's deputies on June 25 on a charge of domestic violence with aggravated assault. He was released on a $5,000 bond pending a 9 a.m. July 2 hearing in Blount County General Sessions Court.

Stephanie Lee Alderman, 35, Defoe Circle, Maryville, also charged with violation of probation granted after a misdemeanor conviction

Christopher Jason McAuley, 35, Wrights Ferry Road, Louisville, also charged with violation of probation granted after a misdemeanor conviction and public intoxication

Max Edward Orahood, 40, Haley Way, Maryville, also charged with violation of probation granted after a misdemeanor conviction

Joany Diane Roach, 48, Chota Road, Maryville, also charged with violation of probation granted after a misdemeanor conviction and served with a bond copy (withdrawl of responsibility by a bond company) on an earlier charge of driving on a revoked license

Thefts

Alcoa

An employee of Family Inns, 2450 Alcoa Highway, Alcoa, reported at 1:49 p.m. June 26 fradulent use of a credit card. A man checked in on June 22 using a Visa credit card number, but did not have the card or a driver's license. He also used the card on June 25. The owner of the card called on June 25 to say that the card had been used and he wanted to know who was using it. He denied knowing the man who presented the number. A total of $277.56 charges were made on the card. The suspect, a bald, short, black man in a blue dress shirt and khaki pants, took off when confronted by the employee and was later seen running toward Clayton Homes Inc.

Alcoa police responded at 6:46 p.m. June 26 to call of a shoplifter leaving the scene at Food Lion, 2917 Old Knoxville Highway. As four of the alleged suspects in the incident got out of a vehicle at a residence, marked police cars pulled up. Two of the suspects ran inside the house. Police interviewed the suspects, and store employees recovered the groceries, which totaled $281. One man took responsibility for the theft. Charges are pending in the incident.

Maryville

Rent-A-Center, 2030 E. Broadway Ave., Maryville, reported at 12:08 p.m. June 26 theft of a Nintendo Wii and Sony Playstation 3. The rented electronics were pawned locally, the company discovered. The value of items totaled $799, according to a Maryville police report.

Samantha Wilson, Atchley Apartments, Maryville, reported at 1:17 p.m. June 27 that a Dell computer, digital camera, and clothing were taken from her apartment. She said the lock was deadbolted and the place had been ransacked. The estimated value of the items was $1,220.

An employee at Family Dollar, 1721 W. Broadway Ave., Maryville, reported at 1:18 p.m. June 26 that she confronted a shoplifter, was slapped in the shoulder, and the suspect fled, leaving behind the stolen items from her store and one other. The items were left behind in a purse. The store recovered the items and the purse was placed in the evidence.

Justin Jones, Russell Road, Rockford, reported at 2 p.m. June 26 theft of a fishing pole, fishing reel and 12 video games from his vehicle while parked at Foothills Mall.

Vandalism

Alcoa

An employee at Alcoa High School, 532 Faraday St., reported vandalism of 22 computers on June 26. The computers were vandalized with antibacterial hand wash and white out. One laptop computer, a desktop computer, a printer, and a monitor will have to be replaced, said the employee. Estimated value of the four items totaled $3,000.

Maryville

Whitney Hill, Arbor Drive, Maryville, reported at 5:52 p.m. June 26, that one of her tires had been cut while she was parked at Griffitt Street. The tire's value was $30.

Lonnie Williams, Pershing Street, Maryville, reported at 10:58 a.m. June 27, his vehicle was egged overnight. He estimated $2,000 in damage.
