Kenneth G. Abbott
Kenneth G. Abbott, age 69, of Maryville passed away Saturday, June 27, 2009, at the family home. He retired from the City of Marville Fire Department with 28 years of service. He served as Fire Chief from 1988 to 1994. Preceded in death by father, Harold Bruce Abbott; mother, Ethel Sellers Abbott Mynatt; stepfather, Kenneth Mynatt. Survivors include son, Kenny Abbott of Maryville; daughter and son-in-law, Debby and Tom Leonard of Maryville; grandchildren, Mallory, Madeline and Bella Leonard; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jane and Glenn Perkins of Maryville and Carol and Ron Combs of Maryville; several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends as a Celebration of His Life from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, June 29, 2009, at the Smithview Pavilion and Event Center. Graveside service and interment will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at Forest Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Bryan Wheble officiating. COLEMAN, MARK A., 43, Maryville, died Saturday, June 27, 2009. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Smith Funeral and Cremation Service.
Edward Patterson Deere
Edward Patterson Deere, age 89, of Maryville passed away Sunday, June 28, 2009, at Wellington Place. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Maryville, where he taught the High School Sunday School Class for 40 years. He was a retired Blount County Agriculture Extension Agent and received many awards while he was working, and was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas and Jack Deere; sisters, Evelyn Buck, and Patty Thompson. Survivors include his wife, Mabel England Deere of Maryville; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Libby Deere of Murfreesboro, Dr. Randy and Kathy Deere of Bowling Green, Ky.; grandchildren, Sarah Deere of Murfreesboro, Laura Deere of Houston, Texas, Lyndsey Deere and Andrew Deere of Bowling Green, Ky.; sister, Melba Sharp of Linden; several nieces and nephews. The Family will receive friends Tuesday June 30, from 1-2:30 p.m. at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with funeral services to follow at 2:30 p.m. with Dr. John Sharp and Rev. Tanner Lee Jameson (Bonz)
Tanner Lee Jameson (Bonz), age 13, of Maryville, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 26, 2009. This beautiful young child was an active member of Eagleton Middle School Baseball and Basketball teams. He was currently playing for the Blount Storm Traveling Baseball Team. Tanner loved the outdoors and would always help out around the house. He had just finished putting a flower bed in front of the house. He was a member of Praise Temple Assembly of God. Preceded in death by aunt, Shay Hill. Survivors include parents, Rhonda and Keith Harrill and Tammy and Jeff Jameson; brothers and sisters, Cameron Jameson, Bevin Hill, Brett Orr, Brook Orr, Sara Beth Harrill and Richard Harrill; grandparents, Wanda and Kenneth Wright, Charlotte and Gene Hill, Richard and Sharon Harrill, Gerald and Linda Kirby, and Larry and Sandra Best; aunts and uncles, Todd and Lori Hill, Tim Hill, Jenni Hill, Michele and Randy Clunie, Tammye and Mike Wright, Jason Jameson, Greg and Tanya Best, Missy and Jimmy Millsaps, Ken and Hope Wright; cousins, Gracie, Haley, and Brianna Hill, Lauren Hill, Brandon, Ryan, and Thomas Clunie, McKenna Wright, Kalee and Cody Best, Logan, Autumn and Dane Jameson; special dog, Hobo. Funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Monday, June 29, 2009, at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Wayne Simmons officiating. Interment will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at Grandview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tim Hill, Todd Hill, Kip Jones, Jeff Sherman, Tony Murr, Dennis Clifton, Sam Payne, and Jason Jameson.
