Arrests
n Jeffrey Charles Bryant, 20, North Cedar Street, Maryville, was arrested by Maryville police officers on June 28 on a charge of possession of a Schedule VI substance (marijuana). He was free on a $2,500 bond pending a 9 a.m. June 30 hearing in Blount County General Sessions Court.
n Barry Edwin Cunningham, 24, Nails Creek Road, Maryville, was arrested by Blount County Sheriff's deputies on a charge of aggravated burglary. According to a Blount County Sheriff's Office report, Cunningham was accused of stealing several pieces of jewelry, worth about $5,000, from Betty Rawls' residence on Caney Branch Road, Rockford. He was being held in lieu of a $20,000 bond pending a 9 a.m. July 1 hearing in Blount County General Sessions Court.
n Theodore Melton Lacey, 64, South Peterson Road, Tallassee, was arrested by Blount County Sheriff's deputies on June 29 on a charge of false reports. He was free on a $5,000 bond pending a 9 a.m. July 7 hearing in Blount County General Sessions Court.

n Christopher Shawn Boling, 31, Reagan Circle, Seymour, also charged with driving on a suspended driver's license and violation of probation granted after a misdemeanor conviction

Thefts
Alcoa
n A loss prevention employee for Wal-Mart, 1030 Hunters Crossing Drive, Alcoa, reported at 3:44 p.m. June 28 that a white male wearing an orange sleeveless T-shirt and tan cargo shorts took a bicycle, worth $52, from a sidewalk display at the business. He then rode the bicycle to a white Dodge Caravan, loaded the bicycle into the van and then drove the van to the front of the store where he picked up a female and child and then left.

n The owner of Connie's Kitchen, 10231 Chapman Highway, Seymour, reported at 7:34 a.m. June 26 theft of various plastic numbers and letters, valued at $200, from the sign in front of her business.
n David P. Bailey, South Union Grove Road, Friendsville, reported at 1:57 p.m. June 26 that someone entered his master bedroom through the window and took a bag of market daily receipts and cash for Uncle Dave's Market. Jewelry and a bottle of prescription medication also were taken. The items were valued together at $4,536.61.
n Billy K. Simerly, Cedar Crest Lane, Friendsville, reported at 8:08 a.m. June 27 theft of tools valued at $290 from a metal toolbox in the bed of the truck.
n James C. Dodson, Woodview Road, Louisville, reported at 8:15 a.m. June 27 someone pried open the door to his outbuilding and took a leaf blower, chain saw and weed trimmer, valued together at $760.
n Jean C. Smith, Roddy Branch Road, Rockford, reported at 9:12 p.m. June 27 theft of two cell phones valued at $150 from her residence.
n Robert W. Gredig Jr., Blockhouse Road, Maryville, reported at 9:30 p.m. June 27 theft of a 2001 Honda ATV, valued at $3,500, from his yard.
n Johnnie Reece, Cove Point, Louisville, reported at 7:30 a.m. June 28 theft of four rod and reel fishing poles, a tackle box, life jackets and a metal box, and damage to a marine radio while trying to remove it. The value of stolen items and damage were estimated at $1,850.
n Wanda Wells, N. Union Grove Road, Friendsville, reported at 8:53 a.m. June 28 theft of two personal watercrafts and a trailer valued at $5,800 from the side of her residence.
n The owner of the Louisville Express Mart, 2954 Vale View Road, Louisville, reported at 11:32 a.m. June 28 someone had pried open the lock on the Coke machine outside the business and removed an estimated $100 in cash from the cash box.
n Susan D. Harper, Currie Avenue, Maryville, reported at 5:07 p.m. June 28 theft of prescription medications, clothing and jewelry valued at $1,240 from her residence. n Michael B. Howard, Endsley Quarry Road, Friendsville, reported at 11:32 p.m. June 28 theft of an XBox 360 game system, controllers and games, a laptop computer and a DVD player from his residence. The door had been kicked in and a beer bottle apparently was used to break the bedroom window, because the bottle was found on the bed. The items were valued at $1,585.

Blount County
n Ennis D. Huffstetler, Peterson Road, Maryville, reported at 12:48 p.m. June 26 that someone knocked down his mailbox and e post, valued at $200. According to the Blount County Sheriff's Office report, the deputy responding to the call also noticed the mailboxes and posts had been knocked down at 610, 613 and 614 Peterson Lane. The three mailboxes were valued together at $380.
n Stacey L. Rimmer, Old Knoxville Highway, Rockford, reported that someone broke out two windows on the driver's rear side of a vehicle belonging to her father. The window trim was also damaged. The amount of damage was estimated at $900.
