A storm that went through Blount County early today left approximately 1,800 Maryville Electric Department customers without power for two hours.
Lightning hit an electric pole off Foothills Mall Drive, which caused a breaker to lock out, said Maryville Public Information Officer Pam Arnett.
Power was out from 4 to 6 a.m. today.
Areas affected were Lamar Alexander Parkway, West Broadway Avenue to the U.S. 129 Bypass, Foch Street, and parts of East Broadway and East Harper Avenues.
