Blount County Sheriff James L. Berrong announced today that a 33-year-old Seymour man is in custody at the Blount County Jail and charged with one count of sexual exploitation of a minor.
Aaron Tate Hedrick, 33, Hinkle Road, Seymour, is being held on a $50,000 bond pending a hearing in Blount County General Sessions Court at 9 a.m. July 10, according to a press release from the sheriff's office.
For the past two weeks, investigators with the HEAT (Hi-Tech Evidence and Technology) Unit/ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children), have been conducting an undercover investigation on Hedrick.
On Thursday, investigators executed a search warrant at Hedrick’s residence and seized his computer. A preview of the hard drive revealed more than 150 images of child pornography on Hedrick’s computer. Investigators took Hedrick into custody at his home after executing the search warrant.
