Elizabeth Helen Overbey, of Maryville, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Douglas Overbey, of Maryville, and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph R. Andrews III, of Knoxville, was united in marriage with Matthew Ryan Thomason, of Daphne, Ala., son of Mr. and Mrs. James Bruce Thomason, of Daphne, Ala., at 5 p.m. Aug. 15 at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Maryville. The Rev. Howard Eugene Haws officiated.
Kathleen Overbey Thomas, of Brentwood, was matron of honor and Hannah Margretta Millard, of Maryville, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Emily Katherine Nicholson, of Raleigh, N.C., and Amelia Wilson Smith, of Mobile, Ala.
James Bruce Thomason, of Daphne, Ala, was best man. Groomsmen were William Martin Thomason, of Daphne, Ala., James Alexander Thomason, of Daphne, Ala., and Wesley Ryan Vaughn, of Mobile, Ala.
A reception hosted by the parents of the bride was held at Butterfly Gap Retreat, Maryville.
After a wedding trip to Athens and Santorini, Greece, the couple are living in Jacksonville, Fla.
The bride is a graduate of Maryville High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa. She is a visual merchandiser with Bealls of Florida.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Daphne High School, Daphne, Ala., and received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa. He is a civil engineer with Reynolds, Smith & Hill Inc.
